Support Reddish Vale MTB

The reasons that projects like this do not happen is usually the funding. However in this case we are already 100% self funding so Stockport Council and the local tax payers don't have to spend a penny!
The Council, and the entire community living within it, will get a new £400,000 vititors centre, a fantastic world class sporting facility and an answer for some of it dissaffected youth. All for free.

In order to make our park become a reality we need to have the will of the people behind us. This means we need to be inform everybody about it. The following ideas will help to spread the word.

  • The most important thing you can do is write to your MP and councillors. To make this task easier we have produced letters for you to print off. All you do is add your name and who you are writing to. Remember we all only have 1 MP but upto 3 councillors. As well as posting your letters it helps if you can email them. If you live outside of Tameside or Stockport then please send your letter to the Tame Valley Committee. The letter is the same as the 'councillors' letter.
  • Carry out a flier drop of the areas around Reddish Vale. This will mainly include Denton, Brinington and Reddish. Can you offer any time to help posting the fliers? Do you have access to a photo copier to copy the postal flier?
  • Send the new Vale advert to all the bike shops. There is a list of bike shops HERE Please can you print off an advert and take it to your local bike shop. It would also help if you left some of the business cards to put on the bike shop front desk.
  • I will be writing to the local supermarkets.
    • Can you take a Vale advert to the local school in your area and ask the headmaster if they would support us? perhaps give out some of the fliers at the school gate? List of schools HERE
  • We need to put up a Vale advert in as many public places as possible. I have found that most people are willing to put up a sign: Local shops, post offices, barbers, libraries, gyms, places of work, sport shops, colleges, University notice boards.

These are only a few suggestions and we open to many more coming from you all.

This is a Mountain bike facility for YOUR children to use.. If YOU dont help we may not get the park we all want. Please, try to give half an hour of your time to supporting the park.
